Trump says would raise visa fees to pay for Mexican border wall Posted: 16 Aug 2015 02:06 PM PDT (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump would increase fees on some Mexican visas and all border crossing cards as part of a broader plan to force Mexico to pay for a wall along the southern U.S. border. On NBC's "Meet the Press," he said he would deport all undocumented immigrants and rescind U.S. President Barack Obama's executive orders on immigration. In a policy paper issued on Sunday, Trump said he would increase fees on temporary visas for Mexican chief executives, diplomats and North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) workers if Mexico does not agree to pay for the wall. |
Four killed in a two-plane collision near San Diego Posted: 16 Aug 2015 03:05 PM PDT (Reuters) - Four people were killed on Sunday morning when two small planes collided in mid-air about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of downtown San Diego, authorities said. The crash occurred at around 11 a.m. when a twin-engine Sabreliner collided with a single-engine Cessna 172 over an area located two miles (3 km) from Brown Field Airport in San Diego county, said a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. At least four passengers were found dead at the scene, Cal Fire spokesman Nick Schuller said. |

The plane operated by Indonesian carrier Trigana Air lost contact with air traffic control just before 3:00 pm (0600 GMT) Sunday after taking off from Jayapura, the capital of Papua province, the search and rescue agency said. Officials said initially that villagers in the Okbape district of Papua reported seeing a plane crash. |
