(Reuters) - Launch of a SpaceX rocket with a U.S. weather satellite bound for deep space was called off minutes before liftoff on Sunday due to a technical problem, officials said. Launch had been targeted for 6:10 p.m. EST from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The next opportunity to launch is 6:07 p.m. EST on Monday, said NASA launch commentator Michael Curie. The rocket carries the Deep Space Climate Observatory, nicknamed DSCOVR, a partnership of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A small, single-engine plane crashed on Sunday in a wooded area near Fort Meade, a U.S. Army base in Maryland, injuring two men, state police said. The plane, identified as a Grumman American AA-1 by the Federal Aviation Administration, crashed around 2 p.m. EST shortly after taking off from an airport in nearby Odenton, Md. Michigan man claiming bomb, drives pickup into Coast Guard station

A Michigan man claiming to have a bomb drove his truck through the gates of a U.S. Coast Guard station on Lake Michigan early Sunday, according to police and media reports. The 34-year-old suspect told authorities that he had an explosive device and would blow up the station, but no explosives were found when he was arrested at the scene, according to the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. "The incident was initially investigated as a potential act of domestic terrorism due to the circumstances," a police statement reads. The attack on the Coast Guard station in Grand Haven, about 190 miles (306 km) northwest of Detroit, began around 6 a.m. ET (1100 GMT) on Sunday, when the man called in his threat to emergency dispatchers, according to an official at Ottawa County's central dispatch, which took the call.
